Vijay, who is getting ready for the release of his next movie Bigil directed by Atlee, recently started his next movie Thalapathy 64 which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto's XB film creators.

Launched before few days, the movie also stars Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan as the female lead and Shanthanu and Malayalam actor Antony Varghese in important roles and has music by Anirudh.

The latest update is that Vijay's friend and costar in many movies, Sreeman has joined the cast, as he tweeted "Vijay 64 got goosebumps when I got confirmed thanks to PRODUCER . XAVIER BRITTO sir, director-Lokesh sir, and my loveable nanban Thalapathy VIJAY. It’s like friends reunion". Besides Sreeman, Vijay's friends Sanjeev and Srinath are also in the film.
