Thalapathy Vijay who was last seen on screen in the Diwali blockbuster Bigil directed by Atlee will be seen next in his 64th movie Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who had given a blockbuster last year with Kaithi. This movie is produced by XB Film Creators.

The team had begun shooting in Chennai, followed by Delhi and is now shooting in Shivamogga, Karnataka and it has been said that sequences involving both Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi will be filmed here, and that there will be many prison sequences in this schedule of Master.

Now the latest news making the rounds is that Vijay will be sporting a clean shaven look without moustache for the first time in his career, and this is for the prison episodes of Master. Master also stars Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah and has music by Anirudh.
