'Ilayathalabathi' Vijay`s 58th film 'Puli' directed by Chimbudevan is gearing up for a grand release in September. The shooting of the film has been completed in July itself and the post production and graphics related works are nearing completion. Now the makers have started planning the release structure.

Normally Vijay films are expected to have a tremendous opening and with this film being a historical fantasy subject with Vijay the opening is expected to break all the previous records in box office. Hence it has been decided to release this film in a whopping 3500 screens across India. This will be the highest number of screens ever for a Vijay film in India.

Out of 3500, 1000 screens each in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, 1000 in North India and 500 in Kerala and Karnataka. The list excludes the number of overseas screens which is yet to be decided.

It is worth recalling that plans are on to dub the film in Telugu, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese languages, like 'Baahubali' its immediate predecessor in historic fantasy..

Meanwhile the songs of Puli` that were released on Sunday are slowly getting to the top of the charts and becoming the favorites of music lovers.
