Atlee clarifies about the 'Sathriyan' connection in 'Vijay 59'

For the past couple of days a rumor that is being widely speculated is that, director Atlee's second film that will have Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in lead roles is a remake of Captain Vijayakanth's 1990 super hit cop flick Sathriyan'. It is the 59th film of actor Vijay.

Atlee, who delivered a super hit with his debut film Raja Rani' has, however denied this as a baseless claim.

Vijay 59' is currently being shot in Chennai and the team is expected to pack the bags to Goa for the next schedule of shooting. The yet to be titled film is being produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu and G.V.Prakash is scoring the music.
