Vijay Sethupathi is scaling new heights in his career after his towering performance in the recent worldwide blockbuster hit 'Master' starring Thalapathy Vijay as the protagonist. The film directed by Lokesh Kangaraj with music by Anirudh has succeeded big in bringing back the audiences to the theater and has revived the industry struck down for nine months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile in a new video for promoting the upcoming film 'Aelay' Vijay Sethupathi has opened up about his relationship with his father calling it one of sweet fights between them. The purpose of the video is to talk about "Adavadi Appa" and the Makkal Selvan related about a true incident.

VJS stated that when he was a young boy his family along with neighbours travelled to Kuttralam and were returning in an unreserved compartment of a train. There was apparently no place even to stand due to heavy rush in the compartment and a man who got inside at a station created a ruckus and even though the other passengers tried to calm him he continued to abuse everyone.

Vijay Sethupathi then says that his dad who was asleep on the berth after sometime just got down and kicked the troublesome man on the face and went back to sleep. The now top film hero was at that time afraid whether the man would retaliate since he was threatening revenge once they reach Chennai. But when the destination was reached the person quietly went his way.

The Makkal Selvan had then asked his father how he kicked the troublemaker without any fear to which he replied that the man's pride was hurt because he was humiliated in front of his family but otherwise he understood that he was a coward and that's why he left. VJS added that the way he now lives his life with courage is because of his father's attitude towards life.

'Aelay' directed by Halitha Shameem has Samuthirakani playing a dad who has a courageous attitude and his son is played by Manikandan. The film is produced by Y Not Studios and is expected to release soon.
