Vijay Sethupathi expressed that he was initially hesitant to star in Malayalam films, as he was doubtful if he can satisfy the expectations of Malayalam audience.

Vijay Sethupathi revealed that he's playing himself for the first time in his career, and will be speaking Tamil dialogues only, in Marconi Mathayi, which is a movie that focuses on love. Vijay Sethupathi is popular in Kerala as well after the blockbuster result of his romantic entertainer 96 there. The actor celebrated Vishu with the movie team recently.
