Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi who was last seen on screen in the action entertainer Sindhubaadh directed by Su Arunkumar, will be seen next in Sanga Thamizhan which will have him in dual roles for the first time in his career.

Sanga Thamizhan is directed by Simbu starrer Vaalu and Chiyaan Vikram starrer Sketch director Vijay Chandar and is produced by Vijaya Productions. Recently it was announced that the movie will hit screens on Diwali.

However with Vijay's Bigil and Karthi's Kaithi also planning Diwali release, it has been said that the team is planning to prepone the release to October 4. Dhanush starrer Asuran by Vetrimaran also releases on the same day. An official confirmation on sanga Thamizhan release plan change is expected soon.
