Vijay Sethupathi's important message about COVID 19 plasma donation

COVID 19 is spreading fast in Tamil Nadu as well as the rest of India and the state now has 147,324 cases and 2,099 lives have been lost. The government enforced staggered lockdowns have helped to a certain extent to curb the spread and more important is awareness among the public to stay at home as much as possible, wearing masks, washing hands regularly with sanitizers and soaps and practice social distancing.

Vijay Sethupathi has made an appeal to the coronavirus survivers to donate plasma to help others in their combat against the pandemic. He has written on his social media page Happy to announce a plasma donation program initiated by @drhakkim
and Uyir Thuli Trichy. Kindness & empathy is the major need of the hour, if you are a #coronasurvivor please help the doctors fight corona by donating plasma. Be a reason a family survives #donateplasma".

Plasma is the clear, straw-colored liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and other cellular components are removed. It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies and other proteins. A coronavirus survivors plasma will contain antibodies and other necessary compositions that is said to help kill the virus in an infected person when administered.

Vijay Sethupathi is currently awaiting the release of his 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he is playing the evil villain against Thalapathy Vijay. His upcoming films include 'Ka Pe Ranasingam', 'Kadaisi Vivasaiyi', 'Tuglaq Durbar', 'Yaadhum Oore Yavarum Kelir', 'Laabam' and 'Uppenna'.
