Actress Kaniha who made her debut with the Maniratnam production Five star co-starring Prasanna and directed by Susi Ganesan acted in several movies in Tamil like Ethiree, Thala Ajith starrer Varalaru besides many Telugu and Malayalam movies.

Kaniha had last acted in Tamil making a guest appearance in Maniratnam's OK Kanmani and is now returning to acting after more than a decade with the movie Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roganth and starring Vijay Sethupathi and Megha Akash in lead roles.

While the shooting was happening in several hill stations before lockdown, Kaniha has given an update on the project, posting a photo of her dubbing for the movie. She had captioned it "“Dubbing is truly an art. An art close to my heart. Making Characters come back to life. This one is very special coz it's for my Tamil film. "Yaadhum oore yaavarum kelir" Had so much fun learning The srilankan slang”. Kaniha plays a Sri Lankan Tamil in the movie.
