Vijay Sethupathi has become an unavoidable actor in the Indian film industry. The fans got to witness him in a unique role after a long time in director Manikandan's recent release, 'Kadaisi Vivasayi'. Once again, we are going to see him in a subtle and breezy role in his next release, 'Maamanithan'.

Vijay Sethupathi has joined hands with National award-winning director Seenu Ramasamy for the fourth time for 'Maamanithan'. The film, which completed shooting long back, faced setbacks due to many reasons. Famous musician Yuvan Shankar Raja has produced the movie under his banner YSR Productions and also has served as one of the composers.

Recently actor and distributor RJ Suresh had bagged the theatrical rights of 'Maamanithan'. Today, he took to his Twitter handle to announce that Makkal Selvan's long-delayed venture, 'Maamanithan', will release in theatres on May 6. VJS plays an auto driver and a happy family man, who is forced to take to take a tough stand while Gayathrie plays his wife in the movie.

'Maamanithan' stars Vijay Sethupathi, S. Gayathrie, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, Jewel Mary, Anikha, Saravana Shakti along with late actress KPAC Lalitha. Ilayaraja and his sons Karthik Raaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have jointly scored the music for the film, and it has stirred up expectations among the fans.
