Vijay Sethupathi out of Mani Ratnam's next multistarrer

Mani Ratnam after delivering the super hit multistarrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' starring Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Arun Vijay and Arvind Swamy is busy with the pre-production of his dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan'.
Mani Ratnam has planned to cast many big stars in 'Ponniyin Selvan' including Vikram, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jayam Ravi, Amitabh Bachan and Aishwarya Rai Bachan. The latest buzz is that Vijay Sethupathi has opted out of the film because of his tight schedule and since the project needs bulk dates of six months. It is reported that Karthi has been approached to play the role now.
