Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' directed by Atlee and costarring Nayanthara is slated for release on Diwali this year by producer AGS Entertainment and the general notion is that no other film will be pitted against it due to nonavailability of theaters and the obvious preference of the audience. However news has emerged that Vijaya Productions are planning to release their action entertainer 'Sanga Thamizhan' on Diwali and post-production works are going on in full swing.

'Sanga Thamizhan' is directed by Vijay Chander of 'Vaalu' and 'Sketch' fame and has Vijay Sethupathi playing dual roles for the first time in his career. The leading ladies are Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashi Khanna while Nassar and Soori play pivotal roles. Vivek Mervin, Velraj and Praveen KL are taking care of the music, cinematography and editing respectively. We will have to wait for official confirmation on whether a Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi clash will happen on Diwali day or the latter will find another festive date.
