Vijay Sethupathi to turn musician next!

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, after the blockbuster success of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and 96, and critical acclaim for Seethakaathi, played the principal antagonist in Superstar Rajnikanth's Petta released on January 10. The actor is awaiting the release of his next, the Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial Super Deluxe, where he plays a transgender named Shilpa.

Now, the verstaile actor is all set to begin his next, to be directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roganth, an erstwhile associate of SP Jananathan. Reportedly this movie will be a big budget entertainer, and the team is already in the process of erecting a grand 150-year-old Church set for the movie.

Vijay Sethupathi will play a musician in this yet to be titled flick that will have its premise set in Christmas and New year celebrations, and it is said that the movie will have a message on an international issue. The movie will have two female leads, and will have music by Nivas K Prasanna. Bankrolled by Chandra Arts, the movie will commence shooting from March, in Munnar, Kodaikkanal, Ooty and Andhra Pradesh.
