A few months ago we had reported that versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi and the ageless actress Trisha will be pairing up for a film to be directed by Premkumar, the cinematographer of 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom'.

Now the film has been titled as '96'. Having a number as a title of a film will definitely serve as an instant attraction for the film apart from the first time pairing up of its two lead actors.

The official announcement of the title is expected to arrive soon.

The film to be bankrolled by S.Nandagopal of Madras Enterprises banner will go on floors by early 2017. Govind who has composed music for 'NKPK' director Balaji Tharaneetharan's second film 'Oru Pakka Kathai' is likely to be the music director of this film too.
