Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been shooting for his 61st film, which has been progressing with the working title 'Thalapathy 61' for the past few weeks. Director Atlee has been shooting for the film with Vijay and other cast and crew members in a set erected in ECR.

Now we have acquired some interesting information on what is being shot over these days for 'Thalapathy 61'.

A source reveals that director Atlee has been shooting the period portions set in the 1980s in the film. Art director Muthuraj has apparently erected a grand set to recreated a oor thiruvizha held in a village.

The film stars Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal as the female leads, Sathyaraj, Sathyan, Kovai Sarala and Vadivelu are part of the supporting cast and A.R.Rahman is the music director of this exciting project bankrolled by Sir Thenandal Films banner.
