Vijay, who is currently busy with the shoot of Bigil, directed by Atlee, has finalized his role in the upcoming project, Thalapathy 64, to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The team of Thalapathy 64 recently announced the list of actors who had been roped in for various roles in the movie. while 'Petta' fame Malavika Mohanan has been signed up to play the female lead, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be essaying the villain role. 'Angamaly Diaries' star Antony Varghese also plays a significant role in the film. The actor, in a recent interview, reportedly opened up on Vijay. " I'm a very big fan of Thalapathy Vijay. I met him at the Coimbatore Airport a year ago, it was a very memorable experience. I feel blessed to work along with him," he said.

Produced by Xavier Britto, the crew from the producer's upcoming film 'Kaithi,' starring Karthi, has pretty much been retained for Thalapathy 64. The music of the film will be composed by Anirudh.
