Popular Television dance show celebrity and actress Sunitha was involved in a car accident near Vellore when she was returning from a shooting. It has been alleged by the public that Sunitha was driving the car allegedly in a drunken state and after her car rammed into another vehicle she went to the back seat and pretended to have been sleeping.

However Sunitha has clarified that she does not know driving and also does not possess a licence and that she was sleeping in the backseat when her driver had hit the other vehicle. She has further added that due to language problem the public had misunderstood her and that she was not drunk.

Sunitha apart from her dance shows on Television has also acted in films like '3' starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan.
