The pre-release event of 'Arjun Reddy' was held at N Convention in Hyderabad. Besides the cast and crew members, Sharwanand, Nandini Reddy, Tharun Bhascker and Shiva Nirvana graced the event as guests.

Tharun Bhascker said that the film will surely become a big hit. "I request Vijay to arrange 20 tickets for me and my friends. That's my only request," he said.

The film's heroine, Shivani, said, "Everyday when I wake up, I am getting sweet messages from all you guys. I can't believe it. I am going blank. I would like to thank my parents for being that break in my life. I would like to thank Vijay. Had he not been Arjun, I don't think I would have played Preethi with such intensity. The director, Sandeep, is not just a director but a crazy person first. He hasn't just written the film, he has lived it. He is the man of the moment."

Although a newcomer and a non-Telugu, she dubbed for her character herself.

Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga said, "All the contemporary heroes of Vijay will feel jealous after watching this movie. I would like to wish best of luck to the entire team."

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, "The run-time of 'AR' is 3 hrs and 1 minute. This is an emotionally-driven, heavy-duty, cult romance. They never show some relations in films. We have broken the barrier with this film. The crowd in India who watch this movie will go crazy. I don't understand why the Censor Board has given the film 'A'. They were like those viva panels in Engineering colleges. They were like those professors who were intent on failing a candidate. The cuss words in the film have a context. There is no good or bad as such. It's a point of view. This film can be watched with your parents. By the time the climax is over, everything that has been shown is justified. 'AR' will break the norms."

Actor Sharwanand, one of the chief guests, said, "I don't even understand where to start. I see a passion in the eyes of everyone here. It's good to see new faces in the industry. I am already jealous of Vijay, who has done this excellent story. I had heard the narration long back from Sandeep himself. I am sure this will be a crazy, hard-hitting film which will tell you what is true love."

Vijay Devarakonda said, "I thank everybody who has worked on the film. They say, 'Be humble'. But why should you? I have been accused of being arrogant by some websites and users on social media. They are saying that I am over-confident. If I, who has acted in this movie, is not confident of my product, who will be confident? F**k humility. Change this sh**t. When I listened to the story of 'AR', I knew it's not for children. When I was doing the film, I knew it's definitely an 'A' film. But even after giving 'A', the Censor Board members asked us to mute a certain cuss word. We tried to explain that the situation demanded it. My girl is inappropriately touched by someone and I use that expletive which comes after the phrase 'Em matladutunnav ra'. It may have been muted, but you all should give me dubbing while the scene is on. Are you ready?"
