Legendary actor and political leader Vijayakanth fondly known as Captain was admitted to the MIOT hospital in Manappakkam in Chennai on September 23rd. Reports came in that he was experiencing only mild symptoms and was in stable condition. Yesterday (28th September), his wife Premalatha Vijayakanth also tested positive and has been admitted to the same hospital today.

The hospital has officially stated that both the patients are in stable condition and following the preliminary test results of Premalatha, she would stay on for treatment while Vijayakanth would be discharged.

The hospital has given the good news that Vijayakanth is not only stable but is also asymptomatic of coronavirus and that is why he is allowed to go home soon.
