Vijayalakshmi looking for a new role

Vijayalakshmi, the pleasant beauty, who has impressed everyone in Chennai 600028 and Anjathey, is looking for a different kind of roles that could propel her career as an actor.

Kollywood has a habit of typecasting an actor with role, which makes the actor popular. Vijayalakshmi, however, doesn’t want to be typecast and hence she politely refuses the roles that come her way, as they are similar to the ones she played in Chennai 600028 and Anjathey.

Even after Anjathey, she is getting many offers but none of them seems to be different. Vijayalakshmi has clearly said no to such roles. She has even got an offer from Malayalam but refused it for the same reason. She wants to change her image as an innocent calm girl and wants to do bubby characters.

She doesn’t believe in the short cut to stardom, i.e., donning glamourous roles. “It is not my cup of tea”, is her response to a specific query on doing glamour roles.

The girl is also trying to avoid acting in 'all-newcomers' movie. She feels comfortable with at least one established name in the team.

Everyone knows that so many conditions and preference might reduce one’s chances but Viji is not bothered. She is in not pursuing her career aggressively, as she wants to leave her mark in terms of quality rather than quantity.

All the best Viji!
