Even as playing roles with a difference in Mani Ratnam's 'Raavanan' and Selvaraghavan's yet-to-be titled film, Vikram has preferred to go the commercial way.
His project with director Bhoopathy Pandian titled 'Vedi' will feature him in the role of a Deputy Commissioner of Police, sources say. Ileana plays his heroine.
Sources say the film produced by Mohan Natarajan would be a racy entertainer with action, comedy and romance. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad.
Circles close to Boopathy Pandian say the director took immense care while penning the script so there are no loopholes in it. It is going to a thorough masala movie for Vikram fans, they add.
