While 'Ponniyin Selvan Part 1' is minting a monstrous collection at the box office and 'Dhruva Natchathiram' is gearing up for release, Vikram has moved to his next project with director Pa Ranjith which is tentatively called 'Chiyaan 61'. The film went on the floors with a pooja in July.

As per the sources, the test shoot for the movie recently took place in the EVP Film City in Chennai. Reportedly, the first schedule of the film will commence on October 17, Monday at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. This schedule will go on for 15 days and the team will move to Madurai for the next leg of filming.

Produced by Studio Green, the film is said to be based on the lives of the KGF mine workers set in an earlier time period. It will be a mega-scale Pan-Indian 3D project with music by GV Prakash Kumar. Speculations are that Vikram has sported a new, different look for 'Chiyaan 61'. More details on this movie are awaited.
