Vikram Prabhu - Dulquer Salmaan in Thala Ajith - Chiyaan Vikram movie remake?

Vikram Prabhu and Dulquer Salman have signed on to play the lead in a new action thriller to be directed by JD Jerry. The two heroes are childhood friends and are very close to each other and now for the first time are sharing screen space.
Directors JD and Jerry had previously helmed 'Ullasam' produced by Amitabh Bachchan and starring Vikram and Ajith in the lead roles released in 1997. The duo who are the busiest ad filmmakers around have also signed a 100 Crore budgeted film starring Saravana Stores owner Saravanan Arul. Official announcement regarding both the projects with the rest of the cast and crew details will be out soon.
Some reports have emerged that the untitled movie is the remake of 'Ullasam' with Vikram Prabhu and Dulquer Salmaan replacing Vikram and Ajith respectively but one of the team members has shared that its a completely new story which has Pattukottai Prabhakar as writer.
