Silambarasan TR (STR) has built a unique empire for himself in the Tamil film industry. Following a hat-trick of hits like Maanaadu and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, he is currently busy with Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life and Vetrimaaran’s Arasan.
In this context, exciting details regarding his 51st film, God of Love, have emerged.
The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who won over fans with Oh My Kadavule. Fresh off the positive reception of his recent film Dragon, Ashwath is now ready to direct Simbu. The director has promised that this film will bring back the energetic “Vintage Simbu” we saw in the early 2000s, reminiscent of the Manmadhan and Vallavan era.

While filming was initially expected to begin in September, changes in Simbu’s dates for other projects have shifted the timeline. It is now reported that the team plans to commence shooting in April 2026. The crew aims to complete the work quickly, targeting the summer holidays for progress.
