Violin
After creating a surprisingly twisty new age thriller with 'Apoorvaraagam', senior director Sibi Malayil is now getting ready to greet the audience with a musical. Featuring young stars Asif Ali and Nithya Menon in the lead, his new movie titled 'Violin' will be an interesting musical love story penned by Viju Ramachandran.
The movie set amidst the Anglo Indian community in Fort Kochy will have Nithya Menon as Angel' whose family consists of her two aunts, who shares a curious relationships. They have a strong bonding and takes care of each other and are into making bakery products for their livelihood. Angel is a much sensitive girl with a forgettable past, which led her into a sort of alienation from the sunny outside world. Her only companion was her violin gifted to her by her late mother. She spends more time with her violin than with anyone else and it is of no surprise that she emerges an excellent violinist. It takes time for Angel to become close with anyone as she is hesitant when it comes to befriending men. But Angel's life takes an U Turn as she befriends Abbey, a man from a silent village of karimannor.
Abbey also have a traumatic childhood, as he is the son of a famous guitarist, who was a part of Kochi's rock music circuit. He has, however, turned into a junkie and has fallen off the music scene.. But Abbey with his sunny ways has moulded himself to a talented musician with a positive mind and full of energy. And when she gets the friendship of Angel, he realises that music in their life is something that has brought them together. Abbey gradually changes Angel and gets her ready for realising her cherished dreams and aims.
Vijayaraghavan plays Simon, the owner of a sea food export company in the movie while Jagathy Sreekumar, Sreejith Ravi, Chembil Asokan, Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy and Reena Basheer play other important roles
Presented in the banner of AOPL, this Sibi Malayil movie will be more a family oriented theme with certain intense relationships.
'Violin' is cinematographed by Manoj Pillai. Prasanth Madhav, Ranjith Ambady, Bijith Bala and Sakhil are leading the other technical departments of 'Violin' while Bijipal is in charge of the music section. Lyrics are by Rafeeq Ahmed while Bollywood composer Anand Raj Anand has also tuned one of the songs of the movie.
'Violin' is aggressively marketed by Strikers & Crew, one of the leading marketing firm in South India. The posters of the movie has already caught up with the audience , which has made it another eagerly awaited movies of the year. The movie will be brought to theaters by AOPL through Lal release.
