Viral ClubHouse video puts Congress party in a fix

A video clip of a recent ClubHouse interaction between senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh and a Pakistan journalist has put the Congress party in an embarrassing situation. In the video, Singh is heard saying that Congress will relook into the abrogation of Article 370. The controversial Article, which gave special privileges to Jammu & Kashmir, was diluted by the Parliament in 2019.
Reacting to the video clip, BJP National spokesperson Sambit Patra highlighted that Singh has told the Pak journo that Congress, if it comes back to power, will likely restore Article 370. He also talks about Hindu fundamentalists. Congress is a clubhouse of Anti-nationals, Patra wrote.
BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya said that Singh is a top aide of Rahul Gandhi, who is Congress' PM aspirant and will be its PM candidate in 2024.
The political fallout of comments like this will be felt on social media when elections are not round the corner. But when elections near, leaders like Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath are likely to raise them to remind the public about the stance of the principal opposition party on Kashmir.
