Indian team captain Virat Kohli has changed his bio on Twitter following the birth of his baby girl last week. His bio, which used to read 'The Official Twitter account of Virat Kohli. Indian cricketer, gamer, car lover, loves soccer and an enthusiast,' now reads, 'A proud husband and father.'

Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma were blessed with a daughter on January 11 and the cricketer took to social media to announce the same. "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you for all the love, prayer and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you will respect our privacy at this time," he had posted. Before taking a break from the ongoing Test series against Australia to join Anushka in India, Virat played the ODI and T20I series in the tour along with the first Test. Ensuring maximum privacy and security for their daughter, Anushka and Virat did not allow anyone, including close friends and relatives, to visit the hospital.

Opening up about becoming a father, the Indian team skipper had earlier mentioned, "It is an incredible feeling. It puts things into perspective for you. It is difficult to describe how you feel, but when we found it, we were over the moon. The kind of love that was showered on us when we announced it was amazing. People were genuinely so emotional and happy for us. We are looking forward to the third member joining the clan. We never got so much time to spend together ever since we started seeing each other. This is the longest we got to spend together. To be home with the one you love, you couldn't ask for anything better and we just made the most of that whole time and created a routine for ourselves."

The batsman added, "We didn't pressurise ourselves on learning this or that. It was tough initially, but we got used to it." The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in December 2017 after dating for several years. Anushka and Virat announced the arrival of their baby late last year.
