Virat Kohli has done it again. Following the match against Australia where the Indian Captain signalled fans not to boo Steve Smith, he has impressed the Pakistan fans this time with his gesture. During the match when bowler Wahab Riaz slipped on the follow through, Kohli paused while running to check if he was okay. The two exchanged a smile and then the pacer went to bowl again. This has won the heart of fans across the border who have been expressing their love for the skipper on social media.

Not only this, cricket lovers also approved of the way the batsman walked when he knew he had touched the ball with his bat. Kohli did not wait for the umpire to signal him out, he walked off on his own accord. Check out some of the tweets of fans from Pakistan. One said: “Best batsman, best captain, best athlete, best human being. Cricket will never see another Virat Kohli ❤️ #INDvsPAK #IndiaVsPakistan.” Another said: “Virat Kohli is such a gentleman. The sportsmanship he displayed is reflection of his grandeur. He knew he edged it and therefore walked off instead of waiting for umpire's decision. Patted Wahab when he fell. He has won a million more fans! How can anyone hate him?#INDvPAK.”

One fan summed the incident up beautifully saying: “Forget all the talks about rivalry, this warmth between the players is what makes India vs Pakistan special. Take a bow Virat Kohli and Wahab Riaz! ????.” The Indian Captain is truly proving that he is number one in many more ways than batting.
