Actor Vishal`s upcoming film Paayum Puli` will release on September 2, two weeks ahead of Vinayakar Chathurthi` on which Vijay starrer Puli` is expected to hit the screens.

Speaking at the function organized for the launch of Silukku Marame` single track from the film, Vishal confirmed that the Suseenthiran directed film will release on September 2.

Paayum Puli` has been produced by Madhan of Vendhar Movies and stars Kajal Aggarwal as the lead heroine. D.Imman has scored music for this film and the music album which has five songs is scheduled to release on August 2.

Vishal denied that Paayum Puli` is based on a true story. He however said that the film may have some shades of things that have happened in reality.

Producers of the film hailed Suseenthiran for completing the shooting of the film within 74 days while he initially promised to finish the shooting within 80 days.

The team apparently planned to visit foreign locales for shooting a couple of songsm, but the director decided to complete the shooting in Tamil Nadu itself.
