Vishal and Sundar C’s New Film Shelved Due to Budget Issues After ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ Success

The film “Madha Gaja Raja,” directed by Sundar C and starring Vishal, was released after 12 years during the recent Pongal festival and became a super hit. The movie collected over ?50 crore at the box office. Following this success, discussions began for Vishal to collaborate with Sundar C again.

Reports suggested that the new film would be made with a budget of ?100 crore. Actor Santhanam was initially approached for a comedy role, and in case he declined, Vadivelu was considered. The film was to be produced by A.C. Arun Kumar under the banner of Benz Media.

However, due to budget issues, the film has reportedly been shelved. It is said that Vishal requested a salary of ?30 crore, while Sundar C demanded ?20 crore. With their combined fees reaching ?50 crore, the overall budget increased significantly, leading to the project being dropped.
