Vishal's 'Kaththi Sandai' will be releasing tomorrow (December 23) in both and Tamil for the Christmas weekend amid huge positive buzz. The film was earlier announced to hit the screens as a Pongal 2017 release, but Vishal made the impossible happen by advancing the release by three weeks.

The film directed by Suraaj will be releasing in a very big way, say in around 1,500 screens across the world as confirmed by Vishal in his Red Carpet Interview to IndiaGlitz. Out of this 1500, 400 screens in Tamil Nadu. The Telugu version will be releasing in 625 screens

Vishal says "We wanted a festival release. We were very specific about that. We initially planned for Diwali 2016 but we dropped the plan in order to avoid a clash with Karthi's 'Kaashmora'. Then we had locked November 18 without any choice since we could not postpone it till December. And then. Demonetisation announcement came as a blessing in disguise for us and we pushed the release to Ponga.l. And then 'Singam 3' was pushed and we overnight decided to preponed it because we have done all the formalities including Censor certification."

The budget of the film has gone above Rs.20 crores. Vishal says it is justified given the production values and big names in the cast and technical crew. "We have a huge star cast We have good technicians lined up. We shot stunt sequences on a huge scale. Particularly we have a chase sequence which costed a crore. The songs were shot lavishly. I should thank producer Nandagopal for spending with belief in the film and not just because we asked him to spend that much. He is very confident about the film's success."

As regards the film's business are concerned the producer and the Tamil Nadu distributor have already achieved the Table profit. "C.Jeyakumar of Cameo Films banner has purchased the entire Tamil Nadu distribution rights and all areas are sold out (to different distributors). Satellite rights are also sold out."

However Vishal says "I am waiting for the producer to reap more profits after the release of the film."

'Kaththi Sandai' marks the first time pairing up of Vishal and Tamannah. Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu makes a comeback after a long time as a comedian. Soori has also acted in the film and will be providing comic relief in the first half while Vadivelu will blast the second half with his comic timing. Jegapati Babu and Tarun Arora are the villains who will be challenging Vishal in action blocks.

Given all these along with the good pre-release buzz, it seems Vishal will not have to wait for a long time to see the stakeholders smiling.
