She also has pointed out that now on social media she is being trolled as "Half Corona'.

Jwala Gutta has also pointed out that in Indians from the northeast are subject to such trolls and she feels that its unacceptable and questions if corona is Chinese virus then two lakh people die every year of Malaria in India and how one would feel if they walk into another country and Indians are called "Malaria".

Jwala Gutta in her IE article has concluded " Because of my heritage, I’ll never generalize anything about Indians or the Chinese. I treat everyone equally and don’t see religious or caste distinctions. I have broader perspectives. Because I am a public figure, you can question my game, but never my patriotism. I’ve stood up more than most of my trolls ever have for the national anthem and those of my opponents. I know the importance of respecting others and of humanity, something we need as we, Indians, battle COVID-19.
