Earlier this year, we broke to you that Vishnu Vishal is starring in the sports comedy film jointly produced by himself along with the top Tollywood actor Ravi Teja. The upcoming movie is being made in two languages, which is titled 'Gatta Kushthi' in Tamil and 'Matti Kusthi' in Telugu.

Aishwarya Lekshmi is playing the female lead in this project being helmed by Chella Ayyavu. The team kickstarted production in April and now the shoot is going on in full swing. They are planning to wrap up the entire filming in 22 days. The film is being shot at Ambasamudram, Tenkasi, Chennai, Alappuzha and Palakkad.

Recently, the cast and crew were interviewed by an entertainment portal in the shooting spot itself. The makers were shooting a first-night scene in which Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi were decked up like newlyweds. The actor said, "It’s a humour-filled scene. We have seen a lot of first-night scenes in Tamil cinema but this one will be a little different.”

Vishnu Vishal further added, "This is my biggest production with the biggest technical team I’ve had so far - Justin Prabhakar for music, Richard M Nathan as the cinematographer and KGF and Vikram fame Anbariv as the stunt choreographers. I’m not a proper wrestler in the film, so I didn’t have to look like one for most parts. I worked on my physique only when shooting the scenes in which I had to wrestle.”

Aishwarya Lekshmi stated, "This team is absolutely lovely to work with. As an actress, I’ve been able to explore a lot of things I’ve not been able to till date. A lot of physical transformation, script reading and comedy were involved in this, it’s basically a fun film. I’ve usually done intense roles, but this one, while still intense, is also fun. I’m finding it extremely enjoyable to work on this character."

Director Chella Ayyavu shared, “This is my second film with Vishnu Vishal after Silukkuvarpatti Singam. It’s a sports-family drama film and we are making it in both Tamil and Telugu (as Matti Kusthi). Karunaas, Kaali Venkat, Munishkanth and Redin Kingsley are part of the supporting cast.”
