Directed by Mundasupatti fame Ram Kumar, last year's release Ratsasan, which hit screens after numerous delays and been in making for more than 2 years, turned out to be a superhit outing at the box office, with its engaging thrilling screenplay.

Following the success of the movie, the Telugu remake of Ratsasan was launched, with director Ramesh Varma to take over the directorial responsibilities, and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran were roped in to play the roles played by Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the original.

Now it has been revealed that actress Ammu Abhirami, who had played Vishnu Vishal's niece in the movie will reprise her role in the Telugu version as well. The actress, who had also starred in movies like Thuppaki Munai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru shared the news on her Twitter handle with a picture with director Ramkumar, thanking him.
