It is needless to say, Ajith has extended his popularity to Kerala considerably over the past few years. Like Tamil audiences, Keralites are also eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming movie 'Vivegam' directed by Siruthai Siva.

Earlier, we had reported that the release rights of 'Vivegam' in Kerala has been bagged by Tomichan Mulakuppadam of Mulakuppadam Films, the producer of Malayalam cinema`s biggest ever blockbuster Pulimurugan starring Mohanlal. The rights of the movie were bagged for a huge amount of Rs 4.25 crores, perhaps the biggest ever for an Ajith starrer. Now the latest that we hear is the movie will be released in over 200 screens all over Kerala. This will reportedly be the biggest ever release for an Ajith film in the state. An official word on the release date is awaited though!

Vivegam marks the third time collaboration of Ajith and Siruthai Siva after Veeram and Vedhalam. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead while Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan`s younger daughter Akshara Haasan will be seen in prominent roles. Produced by Satya Jyothi Films, the movie's music department is handled by Anirudh Ravichander.
