Waiting for Dhanush's words on British Indian-era movie

The buzz doing the rounds in Chennai film circles is that Dhanush is going to wield the megaphone for a period drama set in the British Indian era. The film will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films.
Although the project has been mooted for long, who would direct it was a matter of suspense. It's now emerging that the 'VIP-2' hero is set to handle the subject himself. Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj were in the reckoning, but they no longer are.
Earlier this year, Dhanush debuted as a director with 'Pa Paandi', a comedy-drama. He is now set to deal with a new genre altogether.
The only thing awaited for now is Dhanush's official word on it.
