Wajah Tum Ho Review

Expectations

T-Series is known for its gigantic music base and the one sided power it holds by controlling the rights of the maximum films released in our recent times. They have been producing films right since the 80's era and in the 90's era followed by the 2000 era had some great hits and super hits under their banner.

Along with these films, they kept making small films with good music and had some instant hits. Their latest film 'Wajah Tum Ho' claims to be a thriller with foot-tapping music and sensuous visuals attached to it, raising the expectation levels.

Story

'Wajah Tum Ho' is a story of Rahul Oberoi (Rajneesh Duggal), whose news channel gets hacked by broadcasting a live murder over it. Inspector Kabir Deshmukh (Sharman Joshi) and his lawyer Ranvir (Gurmeet Choudhary) suspects Rahul's involvement in this case. Rahul on the other end is well protected by his lawyer Siya (Sana Khan). Kabir keeps finding new evidences which complicate the case and at the same time one more live murder is broadcast.

The 'Glitz' Factor

The story is interesting and manage to keep you intrigued into it with the help of few twists and turns. The title track of the movie is melodious.

Director Vishal Pandya is known for his Hate Story franchise and out here also delivers an out and out massy film catering to the sensibilities of its targeted audience. He has all the ingredients required to cater his audience except for a decent screenplay and some logical reasoning's.

Sana Khan looks good in the songs. Rajneesh Duggal is fine in his part.

The 'Non-Glitz' Factor

The screenplay is forced and half-baked. The movie starts with super trashy special effects followed by several unwanted and dragging scenes. There is a small romantic track between Gurmeet and Sana, which has some silly conversations and unwanted songs indulged in it.

The movie keeps dragging to its fullest and right from the first scene you can start predicting about the killer based on its appearance. The makers try hard to show the whole hacking incident look like some serious hi-tech crime. The finale fight is dramatically silly.

The cinematography is average and in the crime scenes totally tacky. Old hit songs like 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas', 'Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho' and 'Mahi Ve' which have been unnecessarily remixed to gain some instant popularity. Background music is jarring.

Director Vishal Pandya has all the ingredients required to cater his audience except for a decent screenplay and some logical reasoning's. The movie just keeps going on and on without anything concrete happening in the major part of the film. The songs keep popping up without any wajah (reasons).

The erotic scenes are induced only to titillate the audience. A fine screenplay along with some decent actors would have saved this movie from becoming worse to bad.

Sharman Joshi looks highly misfit in the role of a super cop. Rajneesh Duggal has a cluttered character to perform. Gurmeet Choudhary is weak and fails in the finale portions. Sana Khan has nothing to display in terms of her acting skills.

Final 'Glitz'

'Wajah Tum Ho' is a reasonless thriller made only to encash by titillating the audience and usage of popular hit songs.
