The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief and Telangana Chief Minister KCR had recently announced 105 MLA candidates of his party for the upcoming Assembly polls. "The other 14 names need further deliberation," the CM said.

Prominently, Konda Surekha, the TRS MLA from Warangal East, has lambasted the party for withholding her ticket.  She seems to have got the feelers that she won't make the cut when the second list will be announced later this month.

Surekha, who was earlier with the Congress, has thrown hints that she will contest independently this time.  However, there also reports that she will be back in the Congress fold.  In 2014, Surekha, who has been a legislator four times, won with a landslide of 55,000 votes. This majority gives her the confidence to threaten her party for denying her the ticket so far.  She alleged that it's because of KTR that she failed to secure the ticket.

Interestingly, Surekha has called TRS an anti-women party that has given a raw deal to BCs.  "Even sitting MLAs from the SC community, namely Bodiga Shoba, Babu Mohan and Nallala Odelu, have been denied tickets," she has complained.
