The Nadigar Sangam election is set to happen on June 23rd, though the High Court has ordered a change of venue as the proposed MGR Janaki college in Adyar Chennai is close to the residences of the chief minister and other dignitaries which could cause inconvenience to the public. Karthi the incumbent treasurer of the union was in Salem to meet with the members in that city made a fiery speech in support of his Pandavar Ani.

Speaking to the newspersons in Salem, Karthi stated that he was not in Salem to hunt for votes as his team's hard work for the past three and a half years is enough to get them the winning votes.
