The match between South Africa and Bangladesh is now being talked about again, but its for another reason. It was a decisive moment for AFP photographer Ian Kington when he caught a ball hit for a six by Faf du Plessis. Little would the South African Captain have known that there would be a fielder in the crowd. Kington, who had pulled off a superb catch coolly, also expressed his glee by showing the crowd his handiwork.
What makes it such a beauty is that he was holding a huge telephoto lens in the other hand. This didn't stop the him from capturing the shot ably with one hand. Describing the incident Kington said: “I’ve never played cricket in an actual team, I’ve just joined in a bit with my mates.'' He also spoke about his the game he has earned saying: ''My phone keeps going off. It’s nice to do something that means you’ve got a story to tell, but I guess that’s my five minutes of fame.” Netizens are in awe of his skills as they laud the fielder.
Looks like @benstokes38 has some competition for incredible catches in the deep!
