Its title is funny. Usually used to mock someone's inferior status, the title of Nani's forthcoming film starts with the word 'pilla'. However, get ready for a family entertainer, because it is not a parody or a comedy.

Here, Nani stars with Hari Priya and Bindu Madhavi. Now done with the shoot, the film is scheduled for a Dussehra release. Directed by Ashok G, Pilla Zamindar's music is by Selva Ganesh.

Due to some unforeseen reasons, the youngster of a Zamindari clan is forced to live an ordinary life. The premise is not new, given that we have in the past seen factionists, descendants of kings et al, living the lives of underdogs due to circumstances.

However, it is interesting that a young hero like Nani, known only for safe commercial films, is playing the role.
