The names given by young director Mithun Manuel for his films are quite interesting and amusing. For the first film which he donned the cap of a scriptwriter, he gave the name Om Shanti Oshana. When it came to his first directorial debut, he gave the name Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeeviannu; and now his latest film is titled Annmaria Kallipillannu. Isn`t it interesting?

About Annmaria

The main character of the movie is Annmaria, studying in fourth standard. Annmaria gets angry quickly, even on a slight provocation that is the crux of the story which develops into certain incidents as a result of this behavior. The role is portrayed well by Sara who is already acclaimed for her roles in Tamil films Deiva Thirumagal and Saivam directed by A. L. Vijay. Sara took special tuition class in Malayalam to learn the dialogues before joining the shooting of the film. She is from Mumbai and is a fifth standard student there.

The star cast includes Siddique, Aju Varghese, Sunny Wayne, Saiju Kurup, Shine Tom Chacko, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Leona Lishoy etc. Even though his earlier venture Aadu was a flop in the theatres, it grossed good money is CD sales. As per the views of the director, the reason for the failure is the trailer. People on watching it expected an action film, but Aadu belonged to the comedy genre. His next directorial outing will be to deliver the second part of Aadu - Shaji Pappan. The story of this film will be based on the next episode in the life of the character enacted by Jayasurya in Aadu.
