Whatsapp has 1 billion active users now

Instant messaging giant Whatsapp has announced today that the company's service has reached greater heights with 1 billion active users. Last month it was announced Whatsapp has 1 billion users, however now the active users list has risen to 1 billion with 55 billion messages sent on an average day.

India has the largest Whatsapp base followed by western countries, the application is available in iOS and Android mediums.
