When Circuit Forgot Himself

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,August 26 2006]

On the very first day of the Lage Raho shoot, while they were shooting a scene at the dhobi ghat, Arshad forgot who Circuit was when Rajkumar Hirani said action. This was the same dhobi ghat where Munnabhai MBBS was shot. Though Sanjay spoke his lines exceedingly well, Arshad was just not acting and sounding like Circuit at all. After a couple of takes when Raju asked Arshad if he had any problems, Arshad with a straight plain face just said that he had totally forgotten how he had played Circuit.

The shoot was cancelled for the day and Arshad was given a DVD of Munnabhai M.B.B.S. Arshad had to see the film some three times before he finally got the details of playing Circuit. Sanjay Dutt then told Rajkumar Hirani that even he saw the film 8 to 9 times before coming for the shoot so he could just take off from where he had left Munnabhai in Munnabhai MBBS.

Short Circuit….Or what!
