K. Bhagyaraj-Balachandra Menon bond of comradeship still stands strong. Tamil Veteran director K. Bhagyaraj who was recently here in Kerala to attend a wedding, had a quality time with his long time friend Balachandra Menon, one of the very few personalities who has carved a niche for himself in all the technical aspects of Malayalam Cinema.
Most recently, in a function held to honour 40 years of Balachandra Menon's solo journey in films, veteran director Adoor Gopalakrishnan officially announced that Balachandra Menon is at the No.1 place in the list of celebrities who have handled all the technicalities in the same movie.
K.Bhagyaraj who was all excited to know his close pal achieving the rare feat, flew down to Balachandra Menon's place to congratulate him. The duo who met up after a long break greeted each other and shared their good old memories. Balachandra Menon-Bhagyaraj friendship is undoubtedly beyond their stardom.
As you know, ever since Balachandra Menon rose to fame, Malayalam media has always taglined him as the 'Kerala Bhagyaraj'. And it is worth mention that it was Bhagyaraj who was the special guest for the 100 days celebration of Balachandra Menon's debut production venture 'Oru Painkilikatha'. In fact, during the function, Bhagyaraj stunned the crowd, including legendary actor Prem Nazir who was at the dais, with his captivating speech.
