When Salman lamented over police force

Coming in a new, rough and tough avatar in his brother Arbaaz Khan’s maiden production ‘Dabangg’, Salman Khan is someone to watch out; for his looks and style.

Birdies got the latest whiff from sources that the film has taken inspiration from a popular dialogue from the blockbuster ‘Sholay’. They’re the famous lines said by Asrani in the film, that goes, “Aadhe idhar jao, aadhe udhar jao, baaki mere peeche aao”.

Incidentally the dialogue of the film was co-written by Salman’s father Salim Khan. And the team of ‘Dabangg’ have changed the dialogue to suit current situation.

In Salman’s film, the actor goes out for investigation along with his policemen and then states, “Mote wale iss taraf, patle vale uss taraf, aur jo fit hain wo mere peeche.” Amusingly when he turns back, he finds no one behind and he goes on to say, “Kya ho gaya hai police force ko?”

Justifying about the lines, director Abhinav Kashyap explained that they have not lifted the dialogue but have maintained the same flavour. He further went on to say that they taken the age-old dialogue a step forward and related it with the current situation. “It’s a comment on the fitness level of the police force today,” added the filmmaker.
