Shirish Kunder is now ready with 'Joker' and is counting backwards for the film's release this Friday. Meanwhile he acknowledges the fact that if a maker makes up his mind to experiment with visuals and technique, there is a lot that can be accomplished.

He shares his own example where he put his foot down to shoot certain crucial sequences in the night even though some around him suggested that he could save the hassle by taking care of that in the post production.

"A lot of 'Joker' has been shot in night and that was a conscious call since everything looks so beautifully lit when shown naturally.

Yes, people did ask me the rationale behind shooting in the night when I could have rather shot during the day and then convert it into night with the use of technical facilities.

However I feel that the kind of sets that I had put would have looked beautiful only in natural night. Sometimes as a filmmaker you have to put your foot down to get the desired results", he explains.

Shirish goes on to add on a lighter note, "Sometimes my actors used to get irritated as well because I made them shoot during cold nights at Chandigarh.

However now when we look back at the results, they all agree that the results were worth it."

Here is hoping that audience too says the same when the film releases all over on 31st August.
