Who is grudging Gabbar Singh?

Just three days before the release of the most-awaited Gabbar Singh, its producer is mired in an explosive controversy. Having been linked with Bhanu and been labelled as a Botsa Satyanarayana benami, Bandla Ganesh is seen defending himself as the film gears up for release on May 11. An issue that threatens to assume political colours in the coming days, it allows one the luxury of sensing a conspiracy behind the murky episode. And that is exactly what some members of the public and sections of the media are doing – asking, “Who is grudging Gabbar Singh?”

Ganesh has responded to the allegations rather calmly. I am only a follower of Botsa, he is like my brother and I have affection for him. I am not his benami, he clarified. To his alleged links with Bhanu, he says that he never even met him. I have been in the industry since 23 years. I have run poultry business for 30 years. Thankfully, my financial position has always been strong, he responds when asked how a small-time comedian like him could become a producer.

We are not interested in the truth, but the question is, who has timed the controversy just before the release of the film?
