Twitter is yet to ban the Taliban. The social media platform has given a free pass to the terrorist organization, which has taken over Afghanistan and turned it into an Islamic Emirate. A lot of Netizens are shaming the micro-blogging network for not de-platforming the terrorist organization.

Not just Netizens but the who's who of the commentariat too are questioning Twitter on the issue. "The Taliban are the world's deadliest terrorists. But Twitter allows Taliban spokesmen including Zabehulah (spokesman of the Taliban) to use its platform to post both updates for Taliban fighters and propaganda for the media and others," he writes, adding that Facebook has banned the Taliban.

Many Netizens are also accusing Twitter of practising double standards. "Donald Trump has been de-platformed but Taliban exists on Twitter," they are lamenting.

"The former President of the United States is banned from Twitter but the Taliban is not. Whether you agree with deplatforming or not, there are clearly some big holes in the company’s policy," wrote Donie O'Sullivan. There is a growing view that Twitter bans Right-Wingers but allows Talibanis to tweet as they like. "Daily reminder that the Taliban can freely communicate using Twitter but Conservatives are censored without hesitation," tweeted Pastor Greg Locke.
