Why Mani Ratnam is hospitalized

Just as several media reports started saying that Mani Ratnam is back to work in a healthy mood, it is reported that, early on Monday, the celebrated filmmaker has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai.

There is confusion regarding the cause of his hospitalization.  Early reports, which were not substantiated, said that the 'Nawab' director was taken to the hospital after he complained of uneasiness caused by pain in the chest.  

Latest reports, quoting hospital sources, say that Mani was admitted due to acute acidity.  There is no case of cardiac-related problems and all the reports are said to be false.
